1.How this schedule works
This schedule says how long we keep each kind of data, why, and what happens when the time is up. It applies to sabireal.com, the product check at verify.sabireal.com, our WhatsApp check line and the manufacturer portal at business.sabireal.com.
SabiReal is a brand of Worllet Limited, a company registered in Nigeria.
RC number: 7014396.
Address: Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The periods below are set in our system configuration, and scheduled jobs apply them automatically every day. When a period ends, the job deletes the record. Where a record is still needed for counting or security, the job removes the personal parts and keeps only what can no longer identify you.
Our Privacy Notice explains what we collect and why. This page only covers how long we keep it.
2.The schedule
- Check records (the code, time, channel, approximate location and a scrambled device key): 730 days (2 years). We need them to count repeat checks on a code and to spot copied codes. At the end they are deleted.
- City-level location on checks: 395 days, then removed. The state stays with the check record so manufacturers can still see where their products are checked, without the city.
- Consumer reports: 730 days after filing. This gives us time to look into a report and to see patterns across reports. At the end the report is deleted.
- A reporter's contact (phone number or email, given only if you ticked "You may contact me"): 90 days after the report closes, or until you withdraw consent, whichever comes first. We only need it to follow up on your report. At the end it is deleted. We keep only a scrambled key of it, so a request to stop contact keeps working.
- Warranty registrations and claims: 365 days after the cover ends. The brand may need them to handle a late claim. At the end they are deleted, with any files attached to them.
- A warranty claimant's contact: 730 days after the claim is resolved, so the brand can deal with any follow-up on the claim. At the end it is deleted.
- Scan & Win entries and winners: 365 days after the campaign ends, so the draw can be checked against its public proof page and any question about a prize can be answered. At the end they are deleted.
- Support emails: 730 days after the last update, so we can follow the history of a request. At the end they are deleted.
- Audit records (security events and approvals): 2,555 days (7 years). See the next section.
- Business account and company records (including verification results, inspection records and photos, and payment records): while the account is active, then for as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting.
3.Audit records
Our audit records show who did what and when on the platform: security events, approvals, changes to records and access to protected details. We keep them for 7 years (2,555 days) for security and legal reasons, so we can investigate misuse, answer a regulator or a court, and show that our controls work.
Audit records cannot be edited. They hold as little personal data as the record needs.
4.When we keep data longer
We may keep data longer than this schedule only where the law requires it, or where the data is needed for an open dispute, claim or investigation. When that need ends, the normal schedule applies again.
If you have a question about how long we keep your data, write to support@sabireal.com with "Data request" in the subject line. Your rights are explained at https://sabireal.com/legal/data-rights.
