In brief

  • sabireal.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising.
  • The product check at verify.sabireal.com sets two small cookies, only when you check a code.
  • Both are strictly necessary for the check to work, and neither tracks you across other sites.

  1. 1.What cookies are

    A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others track you for analytics or advertising. We use only the first kind.

  2. 2.sabireal.com

    Our website sets no cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media tools, and it does not store anything in your browser.

  3. 3.verify.sabireal.com

    When you press the button to check a code, the check sets these cookies. Opening a page alone does not set them.

    • sr_sid: keeps your checks together for this browser session, so the services a manufacturer offers on a product open only for someone who has just checked it. It holds a random value with our signature, nothing about you. It is deleted when you close your browser.
    • sr_ep: stops the same check being counted twice when you reload or go back. It holds a random value linked to the code you checked, never the code itself. It expires after 30 minutes.

    Both cookies can be read only by verify.sabireal.com over a secure connection, and not by scripts on the page. The keyed hash we keep with your checks is made from the sr_sid value, as explained in our privacy notice.

  4. 4.Security checks

    To protect file uploads from abuse, the check can show a security challenge from Cloudflare Turnstile, which reads signals from your browser to tell people from bots. It is not used for advertising. Turnstile is switched off today. If we switch it on, it will appear only on the pages that need it.

  5. 5.The manufacturer portal

    The manufacturer portal at business.sabireal.com stores your sign-in in your browser so you stay signed in. This is strictly necessary for the portal to work, and signing out removes it.

  6. 6.Your choices

    Because these cookies are strictly necessary, we do not ask for consent to set them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them on verify.sabireal.com, you can still check codes, but the manufacturer's services after a check will ask you to check again first, and a reload may be counted as a new check.

    If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will list it here and ask for your consent first.
