SabiReal
How it works

What a SabiReal check shows you.

A check tells you whether a product code is registered and which company it was issued to. It is a record of registration, not proof of what is inside the pack.

Find the code

A small seal, printed on the label.

Your brand stays on the front. The seal and its product code sit in a corner of the label.

  • Look for the small sealThe SabiReal seal is printed on the label, usually in one corner of the product's own label.
  • Read the code under the QRThe product code has 8 characters, printed under the QR. It uses the letters A to Z and the numbers 0 to 9.
  • The letter O and the number 0 differLook closely at round characters. The letter O and the number 0 are not the same in a product code.

What each result means

Four results, one clear next step.

These are examples. Your result shows the record for the code you check.

  • Registered identity

    Example
This product code is registered to the company below.
    Brand
    Kora Springs
    Product
    Pure drinking water, 75 cl
    Issued to
    Kora Springs Ltd
    Batch
    KS-2610-A

What to do: Compare the brand and product with the pack in your hand. If they differ, report a concern.

  • Checked several times

    Example
This code has been checked more than twice. That can happen for legitimate reasons, but it can also indicate copying. Please check the product details carefully.
    Brand
    Ewa Naturals
    Product
    Shea body lotion, 400 ml
    Issued to
    Ewa Naturals

What to do: Look closely at the pack and the seller. If something looks wrong, report a concern.

  • Code not found

    Example
SabiReal cannot find a registered product with this code.

What to do: Check each character and try again. If it is still not found, report a concern.

  • Recalled

    Example
The manufacturer has recalled this product or batch.
    Brand
    Ironbridge
    Product
    Premium engine oil SAE 20W-50, 4 L
    Issued to
    Ironbridge Lubricants

What to do: Follow the manufacturer's recall notice and ask the seller about a return.

Example results. Kora Springs, Ewa Naturals and Ironbridge are fictional brands.

Limits

What a check can't tell you.

A check shows a record of registration. It is not proof of what is inside the pack.

SabiReal checks whether a product code is registered in its system. A valid code does not independently guarantee that the physical product or its contents are genuine or safe.

  • It is not a lab testSabiReal does not test what is inside the pack.
  • It is not a regulator approvalSabiReal is not NAFDAC, SON or any other regulator.
  • It does not replace a good sellerBuy from sellers you trust, and look at the pack as well as the result.
Questions people ask

Plain answers to common questions.

What does a SabiReal check tell me?

It tells you whether the code on the pack is registered in SabiReal, which company it was issued to, the product it was issued for, and batch details where the manufacturer recorded them.

Does a registered code prove what is inside the pack?

No. A registered code shows the code was issued to a named manufacturer. It does not test the product or its contents, and a copied code can sit on a fake pack. Check the product details carefully and buy from sellers you trust.

Why does a result say the code has been checked several times?

From the third meaningful check of a unit, SabiReal shows a caution. That can happen for ordinary reasons, such as a shop checking stock, but it can also mean the code has been copied. It is a prompt to look closely, not a finding that the product is fake.

Is SabiReal a regulator like NAFDAC or SON?

No. SabiReal is a private product-code registry. It does not certify quality, safety or standards, and it does not replace NAFDAC, SON or any other regulator.

Do I need an app or an account?

No. Scan the QR with your phone camera or type the 8-character code at verify.sabireal.com/check. You do not need to log in or share your location.

What should I do if something looks wrong?

Use Report a concern on the result page or at verify.sabireal.com/report. Add what you saw and, if you like, where you bought it. Your report is not published.

Can a shop check its stock without causing a caution?

No. Every meaningful check of a code counts, whoever makes it. If a shop checks its stock, a buyer may later see the repeat caution. Opening the same result again does not add a check.

Will SabiReal contact me after a check?

No. A check never adds you to a list, and SabiReal does not contact you because you checked a code.

Who sees my report?

SabiReal staff and, where relevant, the manufacturer of the product. Your report is never published.

How do I contact SabiReal?

Email support@sabireal.com. If something about a product looks wrong, use Report a concern so the details reach the right team.
