In brief
- Before a factory's codes go live, our inspector inspects it on a date you book.
- We inspect the factory, its lines, the products seen and how codes are handled. Product quality and safety are for the regulators.
- Inspectors sign a conflict declaration, accept no gifts or payments, and a different person reviews every result.
- A pass is valid for 365 days. A fail lists the items to fix, pauses issuance at that factory, and you rebook.
- You can report inspector misconduct to support@sabireal.com.
1.What we inspect, and what we do not
A factory inspection is the physical proof behind a manufacturer's codes. Our inspector looks at:
SabiReal is a brand of Worllet Limited, a company registered in Nigeria.
RC number: 7014396.
Address: Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
- the factory itself, at the address the manufacturer gave us;
- the production lines the manufacturer listed;
- the products made on those lines that the inspector sees;
- how product codes and labels carrying the SabiReal seal are received, stored, printed and applied.
We do not inspect product quality, ingredients, safety or standards, and a passed inspection is not an approval of any product. Those are matters for NAFDAC, SON and the other regulators.
2.Booking an inspection
Once your company and representative are verified and you have added your factory, lines and products, you can book an inspection in the manufacturer portal at business.sabireal.com.
You choose from the dates our team publishes for your factory's state. Dates start at least 12 hours ahead, and each one can be booked only once. We confirm the booking and tell you the inspector's first name when one is assigned.
3.Independence of our inspectors
- Every inspector signs a conflict declaration before they can be assigned, listing any company they have a link with.
- An inspector is never assigned to a company they have declared.
- The inspector records what they find, but does not decide the result. A different person on our team reviews the findings and decides.
4.Gifts and payments
Our inspectors accept no gifts, payments, meals, transport or favours of any kind from a manufacturer or anyone acting for it.
Please do not offer anything. If an inspector asks for anything, refuse and tell us (see the last section). An offer or request of this kind can lead to the inspection being set aside and repeated by someone else.
5.Evidence we collect
During the inspection the inspector records findings against a checklist and takes photos of the factory, the lines, the products and the code-handling areas.
Inspection records and photos are kept as part of your company records. How long we keep them is set out in our Data Retention Schedule at https://sabireal.com/legal/retention.
6.Results
- Pass: one passed inspection approves the factory, the lines observed and the products seen. It is valid for 365 days, and we remind you 30 days and 7 days before it ends. Ordering, paying for and issuing codes for that factory are then automatic.
- Fail: the result lists the items to fix. Issuance of codes at that factory pauses until it passes again. When you are ready, rebook an inspection in the portal.
- Lines added later: a line added after an inspection stays pending until the next inspection covers it.
If you think a result is wrong, you can ask for a review. See https://sabireal.com/legal/complaints.
7.Waivers for a failed critical item
In rare cases our team may waive a failed critical item, for example where the item does not apply to how a factory works. A waiver needs two people on our team: one requests it with a reason and a different person approves it. Both steps are recorded.
8.Reporting inspector misconduct
If an inspector asks for or accepts a gift or payment, behaves unsafely or disrespectfully, or did not declare a link with your company, write to support@sabireal.com with "Inspector conduct" in the subject line. Tell us the factory, the date and what happened.
A person who was not part of the inspection looks into it. We keep your report confidential as far as we can, and we never hold a good-faith report against your company.
