Scan & Win: participant rules

These rules cover the part of Scan & Win that runs on our platform: how entries are made, how winners are picked and what data we keep. They sit alongside our terms of use at https://sabireal.com/terms.

Each campaign is run by the brand that makes the product. The brand is the promoter. It writes the campaign's own terms, such as the dates, the products and areas included, the rewards and how they are given, and it is responsible for any approvals the campaign needs. If the brand's terms and these rules differ on a point about the reward, the brand's terms apply.

When a campaign is open for a product, the result of a check shows it. You enter from that result. An entry counts when:

• the product code is activated and was issued by the brand running the campaign, for a product included in the campaign;
• the campaign is live, between its start and end times;
• you checked the code shortly before entering, and, where the campaign is limited to certain states, the check came from one of them;
• the code has not already been entered in that campaign. Each product code gives one entry per campaign.

Test codes cannot be entered. A campaign may also limit how many times one person can win.

The brand chooses one of these rules for its campaign, and the campaign page says which:

• First entries: the first entries, up to the number of rewards, win as they come in.
• Every nth entry: every entry at a set place in the order (for example every 50th) wins.
• Draw: after the campaign ends, winners are drawn from all eligible entries.

For a draw, the database creates a random seed when the draw runs; no person chooses it. Before the draw we publish only the seed's fingerprint (its SHA-256 hash), and after the draw we publish the seed itself on a public proof page, so anyone can confirm the fingerprint matches. The winners follow from the seed and the list of entries by a fixed method, so the same seed and entries always give the same winners. A draw needs two members of our team: one requests it and a different person approves it, and every draw is recorded.

We do not ask for your phone number or email to enter, so we do not message winners. With a first-entries or every-nth rule, the result appears as soon as you enter. For a draw, check the same product code again after the campaign ends and open the campaign on the result.

Only the person who entered, from the same browser session or WhatsApp number, sees the win and the claim code. A browser session ends when you close your browser, so keep your claim code safe when you see it.

Show your claim code to the brand to claim your reward, as the campaign's own terms describe. The brand provides the reward. We record the winner, the claim code and when the reward is given.

For an entry we keep the product code, the campaign, the order of your entry, whether it won, the claim code and the scrambled code (keyed hash) for your browser or WhatsApp number. We do not keep your name, number or email for an entry.

The brand sees counts and the winning product codes, not who entered. We use entry data only to run the campaign, to stop abuse and to show the draw is fair.

We keep entries and winners for 365 days after the campaign ends, then delete them or make them fully anonymous. Our privacy notice is at https://sabireal.com/privacy.

Entries made with bots or scripts, with codes that were copied, guessed or not lawfully obtained, or in any other way that breaks our terms do not count, and we may remove them. We may also pause a campaign on our platform if we see abuse.
