What SabiReal is

What the record does, and what it does not.

A check tells you who issued a product code. It does not tell you anything the record does not hold.

SabiReal is

  • Shows which company issued a unit and for which product.
  • Gives every unit its own product code, so one code means one unit.
  • Gives the same answer whether you scan the QR or type the code.

SabiReal is not

  • A regulator. SabiReal is not NAFDAC or SON and does not approve products.
  • A lab test. Nobody at SabiReal opens or tests what is inside the pack.
  • A judge of quality or safety. A check shows what the record holds, nothing more.
How we keep the record honest

A record is only useful if you can trust it.

These rules are built into how SabiReal works, not added on top.

Checked before codes

Every manufacturer has its identity checked and its site inspected before it can issue product codes.

Two people for big changes

High-risk actions need one person to ask and a different person to approve.

A trail that cannot be rewritten

Every change to the record is added to an append-only audit trail. Nothing is quietly edited away.

Checks counted by the server

The server counts each check, so page refreshes and bots do not push a code into a warning.

Places, never people

Manufacturers see the cities where codes are checked. A check location is never tied to a person.
